These are the Scott Waites darts from Red Dragon – and very nice they are too! Here is the review I did of the Steve Beaton darts from Red Dragon Here you go folks – here is a google map to show you how to get there and exactly where it is. The address Woodview, Cotgrave, Nottingham NG12 3PJ I found this on youtube and it is actually pretty good video of the master in action… These are the Unicorn Phase 5 darts in 26 g flavour. They were supplied by www.thisisdarts.co.uk a very nice dart indeed – very high quality production and finish. It is always a bit of a problem organising games on dart pro. You need to pm, or email your opponent and then arrange a time etc etc. So we have installed an entirely new chat box on double16 inside the Dart pro forum. Only the people who are registered on the site can see this and it allows dart pro players to set up their games on the site with ease. The advantage of this chat room is that any comment that you type stays visible after you have left, so effectively you can leave an open message for people to see which will stay there until enough people have commented and the message drops off the bottom of the page. Yet another helping hand for darters from double16.com ….:) Last weekend at the Unwin Club, Sutton in Ashfield the whole of the competition was streamed live over the internet. This has been at Nottinghamshire county matches in the past but never at a private competition – so another frst for Double16.com. We will be streaming all of our future competitions where ever this is possible and the archives of the games will be available to view on our own channel at Enjoy folks! There are archives of a couple of the games including one of the semi finals on there right now. The other semi final and the whole of the final will be available for viewing when the footage has been processed. A great day of darts at the Unwin Club, Sutton in Ashfield saw a fine field of dart players competing for the £1000 first prize. At the end of the day the class of the field shone through with a top class display of darts from Colin Osborne to take the top prize over fellow professional Andy Hamilton. In the ladies section, Lorraine Farlam won the competition beating her own daughter! Darting talent certainly runs in the family there….. Yet another first for Double16 as this was the first local darts competition in the world to be streamed live on the internet. The semis and final were streamed to an appreciative audience watching from all over the world. We will be aiming to stream live darts from as many of our future competitions as we can. Keep your eye on the main site for future news of broadcasts! There have now been more than 128 entries for the first Sutton Open. This looks like it is going to be a real corker of an event! It has been organised at the Unwin club, Sutton in Ashfield by Daz Gilbert in conjuction with Double16.com promotions. We look forward to a great day of darts and of course there will be lots and lots of pictures available of the day. If you want any more information or would like to enter this competition, contact Daz via double16.com or Dennis Stokes. The Blade 111 has been used in major competitions for years. Everyone knows it as one of the standard championship boards that you expect to see being used at competitions and the like. Winmau have recently updated the board and made a few changes along the way too. Now the Blade 111 has all new graphics and a jazzy new logo. The wires are now made from hardened steel and the band surrounding the board is now black to cut down on any possible shine and distraction. I have tested the board for quite sometime now and am happy to report that its a case of ’so far – so good’. The board is wearing very well and despite some serious practice sessions with a variety of darts, there are no signs of wear as yet. Initial impressions of the new board are very good and it looks like Winmau have made a step forward with the new specification for this board. |
